The Sandburg Center for the Sciences

In 2005, Carl Sandburg Elementary created the Sandburg Center for the Sciences to enhance hands-on learning opportunities in Science and Technology for both Sandburg students and students from other LPS elementary schools. Funded by an Innovative Programs grant from the Littleton Public School District, we've deployed a seamless, secure wireless network that supports student research and experimentation. Students use wireless laptops, digital microscopes, GPS devices and GIS software, data logging devices, digital cameras, and more.

In addition to support for Colorado curriculum objectives, programs like our lunchtime Robot Club allow motivated students to explore real-world technology applications like robotics and programming.

Our program offers great potential for inspiring a love of science and technology at the earliest stages of learning. To learn more about this program, please visit our web site at sandburgscience.littletonpublicschools.net.
