Normal Spelling Homework
Each Wednesday, students should begin the next unit in their spelling books. The unit should be completed by the following Wednesday, and the book should be brought to school to be checked for completion. When the homework is something other than spelling, it will be posted here and will be written in their student planner.
The week’s worth of homework will be written in the student planner, please check and sign this nightly. The homework goes as follows:
Wednesday: Begin new unit and complete Spelling and Thinking page and Spelling and Phonics page
Thursday: Complete Spelling and Reading page
Monday: Complete Spelling and Writing
***** Students should complete the corrections of the diary entry on the page in the spelling book. They should notrewrite the entry (even though the directions say to do so). Then, they should produce their own diary entry for the section on the bottom of the page using spelling words and bring it in on a separate sheet of paper.
Tuesday: Complete the Review page
Wednesday: Return the spelling book to be checked for completion (including the separate piece of paper from Monday night’s homework).
