This year will be my fourth year at Sandburg. I'm very grateful to be among many respected and admired teachers and staff members. I believe the opportunities for Sandburg students are extraordinary and I'm thrilled to have so many resources at my fingertips.
I majored in English with a creative writing emphasis and minored in General Business at The Metropolitan State College of Denver. After five years in Commercial Real Estate and Property Management I went back to school and got my teaching license and received my M.A. in mathematics education at the University of Colorado at Denver. Since then I have taken classes through PBS and participated in classes and conferences through our district. I have attended the TIE (technology in education) conference for the past three years and attended a class last spring called Transforming Students Into Learners which has drastically changed some aspects of my teaching.
Colorado has been my home since I was born. My whole family lives here so I've really never wanted to leave. Having year round activities has helped keep me here as well. I do LOVE to travel though. I've been to some wonderful places in the world and can't wait to see more.
A few of my favorite travels...

Colorado Rockies Daintree Rainforest, Queensland Australia

Whistler/Blackomb, Vancouver, BC Santorini, Greece
