• Write a paragraph that answers the prompt: "Tell about a fun time you've had with your family." Remember to start with a gist statement (a general, big idea), then use jot dots to name at least three details. After that, rewrite your gist statement as your first sentence to begin your paragraph. Use the jot dot details to construct the rest of your paragraph. Add a concluding sentence at the end of your paragraph.

• Read "Be Preapred." Answer the questions except for the summary. We will be doing that in class.
• Spelling homework is due on Wednesday and our spelling test will be Wednesday.

• New spelling assignments were given out today. Spelling homework is due Wednesday, January 23. We will also have our spelling test on Wednesday.
