I'm very excited to be going into my third year at Sandburg.  I'm very grateful to be among many respected and admired teachers and staff members.  I believe the opportunities for Sandburg students are extraordinary and I'm thrilled to have so many resources at my fingertips. 

I majored in English with a creative writing emphasis and minored in General Business at The Metropolitan State College of Denver.  After five years in Commercial Real Estate and Property Management I went back to school and got my teaching license and received my M.A. in mathematics education at the University of Colorado at Denver.  I have been at Sandburg since I received my license. 

I was born and raised in Colorado.  I am very close to my immediate and many extended family members who also live here, so I have found it difficult to leave.  I love the year-round activities that Colorado provides but I am most happy when I get to travel.  The world is an amazing place and I love to bring my travel experiences back to my classroom.
