Margi Severson
Hi! My name is Margi Severson and I am the Resource teacher at Sandburg Elementary. I am fortunate to work with students in grades kindergarten through fifth grade who need additional academic support. I am a member of a multidisciplinary team and my teaching style is collaborative and individually focused. In August 2007, I will be starting my tenth year at Sandburg and have 21 years of teaching experience, all in special education, specializing in learning disabilities. I have a BS in Elementary Education and Special Education and a MA in Learning Disabilities.

Greetings! I have been working as a school psychologist since 1992, even though it is my second career (ask me about that sometime, if you’re curious!). I grew up in Pennsylvania and got my undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College. My Master’s degrees are in geology from the University of Kansas and in educational psychology from University of Colorado at Denver. I’ve worked in Littleton Public Schools since 2004 and spend half of the week at Peabody and the other half at Sandburg Elementary.
Having lived in Colorado for over twenty years now, it is the best place that I have ever lived, though New Hampshire ranks a close second. My husband and I have three daughters, two in college and the youngest finishing elementary school. When not working, I enjoy playing the piano, gardening, bicycling, writing, and being outdoors with my family and my dog.
More coming soon . . .
