Before and After School Care
We offer before and after school care for children 5 through 14. Our Before school program opens at 6:30 a.m. The children who attend will be in an environment that is relaxed and comfortable. We have several different activities to choose from each morning, including gym time, computer time, art time, and manipulatives. Children are able to build relationships with other children of all ages, as well as with our devoted and caring staff. There is breakfast available to purchase in the cafeteria each morning for those families who would like their children to attend.
After school we have a nutritious snack available, along with a choice of milk or juice. Then the children have the choice of outside time or homework club. Our homework club allows children to work on homework in a quiet, friendly area with friends and teachers available for help. In the evening, the children have the choice of doing planned activities in the gym, cafeteria, computer lab, and our classroom. We offer “clubs” for the children to join for one or two weeks at a time, such as cooking club, painting club, luau club, and castle club, just to mention a few. Our After school program ends at 6:00 p.m.

* There is a 10% discount for additional siblings. This discount does not apply for Non-student days.
Non-student days $27.00/day (effective 8/2007)
We have a non-refundable registration fee of $25.00 per family each fall. For the summer, current families pay a $15 reg. fee, and new families pay the full $25.

SACC Non Student Days and Closures
The Sandburg SACC program follows the School calendar for closures, including all holidays and winter and spring break. In the event of inclement weather, the program is not in operation if the school is closed. If the school is dismissed early because of inclement weather, the program only remains open until children are picked up. In consideration of all involved, we ask that children be picked up on these days as early as safely possible.
We are open on non-student days that there is no school for kids, but teachers are here. On non-student days, care is available by signing up in advance, on a first come, first served basis.
Program Philosophy
As an enrichment program, extended day activities promote the development of children’s self esteem and social skills through a variety of healthy, age appropriate activities in a safe, nurturing environment. Each child is recognized as an individual.
The program operates under the supervision of the Program Manager and school principal. Staff members include the Assistant Program Manager, Activity Leaders, and Program Aides with special expertise in organizing arts/crafts, drama, dance, music, academic enrichment, games, and sports.
Children come first in our program, so we have planned activities to complement the school day, not just extend it. Our goal is to provide a place where children can feel safe and “at home”, while having a fun, enriching time!
